'There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you'
We all have our own unique stories which can shape
how we see ourselves and the world around us. Everyone faces challenges at some point in their lives which can impact on our mental wellbeing. At spaceforlistening I offer one to one counselling to work through your concerns in a confidential, non-judgemental space where you will feel safe and be able to speak freely. Whether you have had counselling before or are new to therapy I am dedicated to working with you.
I am passionate about working inclusively with people from all walks of life and backgrounds. I will gently invite you to bring your whole self into the process. By talking and thinking about the different parts of your life and by exploring your relationships, unconscious themes and patterns may emerge.
What is Counselling?
Counselling, which is often described as ‘talking therapy’ is a psychological exploration of emotional issues in confidence with a trained practitioner. This can help us to come to terms with our past; have greater self-awareness about our feelings and how we react. Counselling can be empowering and enable us to consider different perspectives and create shifts towards achieving a more healthier and balanced life.
Counselling and You
At times do you find yourself unable to cope? Have you found that you feel unconnected, lost and overwhelmed? Have you experienced a life-changing event recently or in your past? Do you feel stuck and unable to move forward? Have you had to deal with an accumulation of difficulties? Or would you like a space just for you to talk to someone who will pay attention to what you have to say without feeling judged?
There are many ways that I will work with you to help you to better understand and think about your story. Only you know your story and only you can tell it. I am here to listen, to support, and to explore with you.
